Belgrade Airport Europe's 2nd in service quality

Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport is second in Europe and seventh in the world in quality of services, according to a study based on 14 million passenger votes and reviews compiled by international travel agency e-Dreams.

Customers were asked to rate the modernity of the facilities and the overall comfort level, among other criteria. Belgrade Airport finished second in Europe - behind Cologne, but ahead of Stockholm and Amsterdam. In the past two years, RSD 650 million (approx. EUR 6 million) was invested in the first stage of reconstruction of the airport's terminals. The airport got the latest electronic equipment for the detection of weapons and explosives, and new facilities such as a VIP lounge, a children's lounge, a large duty free shop, and two restaurants.

Airport Director Velimir Radosavljevic has announced that the fully restored terminal will soon showcase stores of the world's biggest brands, as well as a store selling Serbian products and souvenirs. Over the next three years, the airport will put EUR 40 million of its own money into a complete overhaul, he said.
