Around ten investors interested in Romanian Post privatization

A number of up to ten investors have submitted letters of interest regarding the privatization of the Romanian Post, according to Dan Nica, the minister of communications.

The minister said the potential investors are foreign companies, some of them very prominent ones. ”Unfortunately, there is no Romanian company among them, though I would have wished that,” said Nica.
The task book for the bidding will cost EUR 50,000 and the warranty is EUR 2 million.
The minister of communications also said the privatization of the Romanian Post should be concluded in June.
The Romanian Post should be privatized via capital injection. A list of potential investors will be drafted before the start of April and eligible investors will be selected by the government in mid May.
The Romanian Post has a network of 7,100 offices throughout the country.
