Skopje to get 30 mln euro DoubleTree by Hilton hotel

The Hilton hotel brand is set to enter FYR Macedonia after Skopje-based franchisee Stone Bridge Hotel on Monday broke ground for the construction of a DoubleTree by Hilton worth 30 million euro ($39 million), the FYR Macedonian government said on Monday.

The construction of the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, which will be located in Skopje’s Aerodrom municipality, is expected to be completed in the fall of 2014, the government said in a statement on its website after prime minister Nikola Gruevski attended the ground-breaking ceremony.
The hotel will have an area of 25,000 square meters with 170 rooms and four conference halls, Stone Bridge Hotel owner Ajdovan Ademovski said.
